I can’t think of another book that covers design in this way. Most books address methods of space planning or methods of communicating work, such as textbooks on drafting by hand or computer, or drawing and rendering. Other textbooks address issues such as human factors. But thinking about how to design a space that is shaped to be a cohesive whole is a unique to this textbook.
Roberto J. Rengel is a Professor of Interior Design at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the United States, where he teaches courses on professional practice, commercial design and placemaking. Prior to his academic career, he practiced commercial interior designer for 15 years with Gensler and Associated Space Design in the U.S
