He was the first artist to open a large-scale exhibition in the Louvre during his own lifetime and can boast other exhibitions in the Kunsthistorisches Museum of Vienna and the State Hermitage Museum of St. Petersburg, among other locations. Joanna De Vos is an art historian, author and curator. She has curated, among others, the exhibitions Facing Time, Rops/Fabre and The Artist/Knight.
