Omschrijving
This study shows that angel traditions from the Hebrew Bible and Jewish literature had a significant impact on the origins and early development of Christology to the point that an Angelomorphic Christology is discernable already in New Testament documents.
'...an engaging and valuable study...' Larry W. Hurtado, Journal of Biblical Literature. '…Gieschen's book is an important contribution to the current debate over Angel or Angelomorphic or Angelic Christology...' Darrell D. Hannah, Journal of Royal Musical Association, 2000.
Charles A. Gieschen, Ph.D. (1995) in Near Eastern Studies, University of Michigan, is Assistant Professor of Exegetical Theology at Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
